How to cook asian shepherds pie
My Asian variation of shepherds pie. Instead of mashed potato, I used ramen noodles as the topping. This is not meant to be an authentic pie, as I obviously took liberties with the ingredients.
Start by browning off your ground beef.
Add your shredded carrots and diced up onion.
Add in your frozen peas, and salt and pepper to taste.
Start cooking your noodles according to the directions on the package. Any type of ramen or thin noodle will work here.
Once the noodles are cooked, drain them and set aside.
These noodles came with oil and seasoning so I added them to the noodles after draining and stirred to mix well.
Lay your beef and veggie mixture in a round or square pan.
Cover the beef mixture with the drained off noodles and top with cheese.
Set your pan in the oven with the broiler on high. Broil until the top of the noodles have browned and the cheese has melted, but not burned.
Cut off a slice, and enjoy!
