My kids love my iPhone, but apps mysteriously disappear and they get so whiny when they click on ads while playing games. This is your worry-free solution to stop that!

Launch the Settings app and tap General.

Tap Restrictions.

Tap Enable Restrictions.

Create a 4-digit passcode. Enter it twice to continue.

Slide the Deleting Apps toggle switch to off.

Slide the In-App Purchases toggle switch to off.

And there are tons of other settings here to keep your little (and not so little) kids from finding and being exposed to explicit content.
