You need to know what weight oil (like 10-30w/5-30w) and how much the vehicle will take with a filter change.

If the vehicle has been sitting for a while , it helps to let it run for 5 to 10 minutes .

Ok now you need to begin to change the oil. Now you want to lift the vehicle up enough so that you can get under it to remove the oil drain plug and the oil filter.

Once the vehicle is up off the ground either by ramps or jack stands, find a wrench that will fit the oil plug.

Put it on the drain plug located on the oil pan. Drain oil into a bucket and while that oil is draining remove and replace the oil filter.

Put the drain plug back on nice and tight. Set the vehicle back on the ground, add oil, then crank up and check under vehicle.

Use the dipstick to check the oil level of the car.

Turn off vehicle. Check oil level with a dipstick that is yellow, red color is for transmission. Check oil cap if it's tight and oil level is good and your good to go for 3,000 miles.
