BMI is a relation between height and weight and is calculated with the formular: weight in kg / (height in m * height in m).

With a few mathematic modifications this can be changed to: BMI = weight in kg / height in m / height in m. ( I use "/" as devide, some people would probably use ":"

So grab your calculator and type I your weight (measured in kg). The pic is an example.

Divided by your height (measured in meter)

And divide it by your height (measured in m) once again...

... and here you got your BMI. For a man a healthy BMI is between 21 and 25 and for a woman between 19 and 24. These are guideline values but they don't fit to people under 18 years and don't include

Muscle mass, shoulder width etc.
