This is a text guide on how to build muscle. This is part one, protein. Your body uses this to build muscle, it is one of the building blocks of muscle tissue.
If you are trying to build muscle you need to keep your body in protein synthesis. This means your body is intaking protein through out the day and is building muscle through the day.
The best way to do this is to have a high protein breakfast such as egg whites or a protein shake (check your protein shakes amount of protein) chicken is also a great source of protein .
Here is an example of a good daily meal plan breakfast: 6 egg white omelet with peppers and a slice of whole grain buttered toast Before lunch snack: string cheese, carrots,apple or banana.
Lunch: chicken breast, broccoli and a baked potato Before dinner snack: a small salad with no more than 2 tablespoons of dressing Dinner: chicken breast, mixed vegetables and a very small yam
Dessert: if you want some dessert Try fruit but not much maybe just an orange or a few strawberries. This meal plan will provide you with lots of protein for muscle and help speed up your metabolism.
Add exercise and you will be a champ! Your goal as far as protein goes should be to consume as many grams of protein you would like your muscle weight to be. For example if I'm a 150lb male
