How to build a minecraft mansion with a chimney

Build this shape. It is 18 blocks along the bottom and 8 blocks up the sides.

Build inwards from the edges by six blocks.

Now add this. It is 4 blocks up either side and 6 blocks across.

Build up the whole shape by 2 blocks.

Dig out a layer inside your house. Make this pattern with stone bricks and start to fill in the floor with whatever planks you want.

All the floor done!

Build oak wood pillars up by 3 blocks on all the corners and at the front as on the picture.

Once I started building I actually thought you should remove the back 4 pillars on the chimney.

Add wood planks 1 block high between all the logs but be careful at the back.

Next add 2 layers of glass on top of the planks.

From inside.

From the front.

Inside the house start. Building the ceiling on the 3rd cobble block upwards.

Light up the 1st floor with torches.

Go to the roof.

Build wood pillars 4 blocks high like you did before.

And do exactly the same with all the planks and glass.

Make sure to add an entrance at the front.

Don't forget the bits at the back.

Now start to build the peaked roof. Make sure you start one block down and out from the building. Not just on top. And extend the roof outward a by 1 block at the ends.

When you get halfway you can use stairs or slabs for the middle 2 blocks.

Only keep going in the parts of the roof sticking out.

All done so far.

Fill in the gaps in the walls like this… or however you want!

And if you want to be fancy you can add upside down stairs to the one sticking out at the ends. Left: not with stairs. Right: with stairs.

Go back to each floor (not the ground floor) and knock out the blocks shown in the next slide.

These ones.

Build the chimney up to the wood on the top floor.

Build the sides by one.

Go in one block and build up three.

Build the top tube.

Extend the tube by six blocks, cut off the corners.

Create the top with upside down stair rims. Two blocks down in the chimney put lit netherack blocks.

Fill in the roof gaps.

Put stone bricks around the chimney at each floor.

Build different arches on each chimney entrance.

Add lit netherack in the gaps and metal bars to the slabs.

On the bottom floor break a two block wide, four block long gap from the wall.

On the second floor on the opposite side make a two block wide, five block long gap. Fill both with stairs.

On the toppest floor build attic beams, following the wood beams in the wal.

Add fence banisters around the staircases.

And you are done!

Furnish as you like, feel free to change materials.
