Like your students - all of them. Students sense if you don't like them and it affects the teacher-student relationship. Remember, everone has likeable traits, you just have to find them!

Know your subject! Being flexible and improvising is much easier if you are well read, and it makes your lessons more relevant and inspiring. Also, it builds students trust in you!

Have faith in your students ability to master your subjects. If you don't believe in them, how will they be able to? If they are academically challenged, learning takes courage!

Be patient. Your patience WILL BE TESTED. Testing boundaries is part of growing up and you must remain calm. It is part of your job to give students a good moral compass.

Release your inner Super Powers and be convinced: you have the power to make your students desire nothing more, than to be the best they can be!
