Add the dry ingredients to a mixing bowl

Now the milk, egg and melted butter . You can add the raisins also if you want a fruit scone.

Mix either by hand or mixer in to a dough

Now place on a floured. Surface and leave for about 20 minutes.

Gently roll out your dough to about 1.5 inches, Use a pastry cutter or round glass dipped in flour to cut out your scones. place on a baking tray & leave for about 15 minutes.

Lightly brush the scones with beaten egg or milk and sprinkle with granulated sugar to give a delicious sugary crunch.

Bake in a preheated oven for about 10 to 15 minutes at 210 C
