Bake Sugar Cookies for Santa


1:In medium bowl,combine the flour,baking soda,and salt

2:in large bowl,cream together the butter and sugar using the electric mixer.add the egg,and mix until we'll-combined then mix in the vanilla.

3:slowly add flour mixture to the butter mixture,and (beat) on medium speed until the ingredients are fully combined.

4:cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1to2 hours,until the dough is cold and firm.

5:(preheat) the oven to 350 degrees,and line a baking tray with foil

6: Sprinkle a clean,flat surface with a tablespoon of flour, and use the rolling pin to roll out half of the dough. The dough should be about 1/2 inch thick.

7:now use cookie cutters to cut out all sorts of fun shapes!!!!! Place the shapes on the baking tray.

8: (bake )the cookies for 5-7 minutes,or until light golden brown. Use the spatula to transfer the cookies to a wire rack so they can cool.

9:while one batch of cookies are baking,repeat steps 6 and 7until all of the cookies are baked.

10:after the cookies have cooled, you can decorate them any way you want
