Make a dough from the ingredients, chill, roll, cut and bake until light golden. Decorate with royal icing, made from eggwhites and powdered sugar plus lemon juice to taste.

  • 300 g butter
  • 150 g crisco
  • 400 g sugar ( white/ brown or mix of)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 egg yolk ( use whites for royal icing)
  • 200 g almond paste ( marzipan softened)
  • Almond extract to taste 2 Teaspoons
  • Vanilla extract to taste 2 Teaspoons
  • 600 g flour
  • 150 g cornstarch
