This recipe will serve four people.
Hey everyone! Okay lets get started, I used white potatoes and I personally dug through the whole bag to find the biggest ones I could find this way the fries will all be long and about the same size
Okay, I use one of these potato slicers but you can simply cut the potatoes by hand into fry size :)!
Like so, yes these are a bit bigger then Mc Donald's french fries but I'm telling you they will be just as crispy and WAY better then any fast food joint!
Preheat oven to 450.
Now fill the bowl of fries with cold water and then get yourself a pot, fill it with water place just a dash of salt in it then place it on medium heat and wait for it to boil.
Like so, now don't skip this step its very important that you boil the fries for three minutes. This helps get the moisture out which will help them crispy up in the oven.
While waiting for the water to boil. This would be a great time to get the parmesan cheese out and shred it up.
Once the fries have been in the boiling water for 3 minutes you can now drain them and leave them draining for five minutes, occasionally moving them around a bit to try to get any of the water out.
Now lay out your fries on a cookie sheet DON'T over crowd or they will never crisp up :)! Also I don't recommend using foil I find right on the pan works best!
Drizzle over the oil making sure they all get a little. Then sprinkle on spices but NOT the cheese! :) Place in oven for 25 minutes, turn the fries after 12 minutes.
Once the fries are done take them out of the oven and sprinkle on the parmesan cheese. You want the fries to be fresh out of the oven so the cheese will melt a bit.
AND YOU'RE DONE! How easy was that?! These fries are amazing I don't even use ketchup with them because they have their own flavour all on their own!
