How to bake chewy pb&j cookies

These chewy PB&J cookies are an after school favorite in our house! They are light in texture (somewhat cake-like) and are not overly sweet. Can also be made without jelly or with a Hershey's Kiss!

Gather your supplies.  You will also need a cookie sheet (2 if you plan to bake them all at once) & an electric mixer.  Recipe will yield 3-4 dozen cookies.

1 can (14oz by weight; 10 fl oz by volume) of sweetened condensed milk

Mix on med-low speed in electric mixer until smooth.

Add 2 cups of Bisquick mix.  Continue to mix at medium-low speed until smooth.

Mixture will be thick.  Chill at least 1 hour.  Preheat oven to 350\u00b0 before you begin rolling dough.

Once chilled, roll dough into 1" balls.  Next, roll in sugar.  Place on greased cookie sheet (use aluminum foil for easy cleanup).  Gently indent each cookie (I used a melon-baller) for the jelly.

I used strawberry preserves (but any jelly, jam or preserves would be fine).  Bake at 350\u00b0 F for 6-12 minutes, taking care not to over cook.
