Prepare your ingredients
Place the flour, whole grain mustard, salt and baking powder in a bowl
Cut up the chilled butter into small squares
Place in the bowl with the flour, and rub together to form small breadcrumbs
Will look like this after hopefully :)
Weigh out 50g of cheese
Pour cheese in flour mix and combine
Combine the 2 together
Bet an egg and measure out your milk, then create a well in the centre of your mix
Pour them in the mix
It will be a very wet dough but don't panic
Place on a floured surface and kneed for 1-2 mins to make it easier to handle
Roll out too about 1-2cm in thickness
Per heat the oven to gas mark 8 or 230c, and line a tray with some spray oil or baking parchment
Cut the scones out using a cutter and place on our tray
Brush with milk and sprinkle with the remaining cheese
Leave the scones to res for 10 mins
Cook in the oven for 15 mins
Place on a wire ack to cool, or if u can't wait dive in
You don't get a huge rise from this recipe, but they do taste good so enjoy!!!!!!!

- 2.5tsp Baking powder
- 1.0tsp Mustard
- 1.0pch Salt
- 50.0g Butter
- 75.0g Cheese
- 150.0ml Milk
