Melt your butter and chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat. Stir constantly until smooth. (I don't know if this is considered smooth. Just stir until you see no more chocolate chip lumps.)

Put the sugar, eggs, and vanilla into a medium bowl. (I'm using my KitchenAid bowl)

Scoop your mix onto the baking sheets. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until firm. *If you want the exact 4 dozen, you will have to make them smaller*

Here is a batch baking. As you can see, the tops are cracking, giving them a brownie effect. Before you transfer your cookies into your container, let them cool for 2 minutes or they will fall apart.
