Mix the spices in a bowl or shaker
I bought frozen fish; thawed prior to these steps. Make sure the it is cleaned: scaled and gutted. You can get rid of the fins too but i think it's easier to remove while eating.
Use paper towels to wipe moisture off the fish.
Make 3-4 slits on the fish
Use a baking dish that can fit the fish with extra space to spare. The will prevent the fish from getting steamed. Grease the dish with some oil.
Cut the lemon into 4 pieces. Coat one piece with the spice mix and rub it all over the fish; stuff a little bit between the slits. Squeeze the lemon as you rub the fish.
Repeat on the other fish.
Stuff the slits with garlic and let sit for about 1 hour..
Bake at 350f for 15 mins. Flip the fish onto the other side and bake for another 15 mins.
While plating, spoon the fish with juices from the baking pan. Serve with rice of your choice or with Onion Basmati Rice (recipe on my page).
