How to bake a carrot cake
A simple delicious homemade carrot cake with cream cheese frosting that is free of nuts, for those who are allergic or don't prefer them :)

INGREDIENTS
Gather all your materials. See supplies list.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease and flour a 9X13 inch pan.
In a large bowl, beat together the 4 eggs, 3/4 cup oil, 1/2 cup applesauce, 2 cups of white sugar, and 2 teaspoons of vanilla.
Then mix in the 2 cups of flour, 2 tsp baking soda, 2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp of salt, 2 tsp of ground cinnamon and 1/4 tsp of nutmeg.
3 cups of grated carrots and pour them in.
Stir the carrots in well!
Pour into the prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 40-50 minuets or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
All done! Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely .
For the frosting: In a medium bowl, combine 1/2 butter and 8 ounces of cream cheese.
Then combine the 4 cups of confectioners sugar and 1 tsp of vanilla.
Beat until the mixture is smooth and creamy :)
Prepare to frost the cake!
Frost the cake :)
Decorate however you like and you're done! It's all about the U :)
