My daughter just got her senior class sweatshirt so she asked her good old dad if I could add her name to it. So here I will show you how to go about doing it n if your good at it u can make some $$

Supplies I used. Printed out her name on regular paper n will be making a stencil out of it. Bad thing about using paper it will tear when removed do to adhesive. That's the front of her sweatshirt.

Here I will be cutting out her name to make the stencil. Pls be careful when using x-acto knife.

I usually start with the inner/smaller pcs and work my way out. Make sure to save those pcs as they will be added to the letters you cut them out from.

Name all cut out. Stencil is ready. See the inner pcs of the top name are missing but we will place them back with adhesive.

Place them on a pc of cardboard so u dont get adhesive on ur fingers. Also make sure u flip them over and spray the back so when u put them back they're facing the right way.

This is the adhesive I use. There's different kinds. Just make sure not to get the really sticky ones because it can leave residue on your garment

Here I was placing it in the area my daughter wanted it. The lower back. That's where you'll be able to see it most. The front already has a design so the back side was the best place for it.

I had her put on the sweatshirt so i could really see the location I was going to place it and mark it.

Used chalk to mark it. You can easily remove it with a damp cloth or your finger with saliva j/k 👅💦☝

I forgot to take a pic of me spraying the adhesive but just spray the back of the name so when u place it it will be facing up like the pic. Used the cut out (top) for ref to place the smalll pcs

All set and ready to paint. When painting don't paint against the edges so u dont end up with messy edges or paint under them.

Started to give it the first coat of paint. Since this paint is not the same as one used in silkscreen it will dry up a little light so give it another coat if u wish or just say it's vintage

Here's the final product. I gave it two coats just so it would look a little dark. Have fun and congrats to all you seniors out there. 🎉🎉🎈2⃣0⃣1⃣3⃣🎈🎉🎉🎓
