How to add publications to pure

PURE landing page (after login) Click ADD NEW from the top right To get there, visit http://pure.lancs.ac.uk from within the university or via VPN from everywhere else.

Select the type of publication you wish to add

I selected JOURNAL ARTICLE. Click CHOOSE

From the top menu you need to select the status of your publication

Pull down the menu and select IN PREPARATION, IN PRESS, PUBLISHED, UNPUBLISHED

Populate fields. Under 'Journal' add the name of the journal you intend to submit your work to. You can change this layer.

IMPORTANT STEP: scroll to the bottom. Under 'VISIBILITY', select: PUBLIC - for PUBLISHED and IN PRESS items BACKEND - for work that is 'IN PREPARATION''

Once you have added all details, scroll to the very bottom. You will see a STATUS menu. Either SAVE draft for later (to add more info) or - if you have finished - select VALIDATION and press SAVE
