How to add fractions

You have to find a common denominator for example 2/4 + 4/8 ,so you have to multiply the 4 x 2 which will make the denominator 8

So the you multiply 2 x 2 which is 4

So your new problem is 4/8+4/8

The problem is 4/8+4/8 don't add the denominator so your answer is 8/8 witch is also 1 whole
