Go to settings app and select Safari > Always show bookmarks bar > on
In Safari go to the website you want to save on the bookmarks bar. Tap the swoosh / 'send to' button and select Bookmark.
Make sure the Bookmarks Bar is selected, edit the website name to something short so it fits better on the bar. Select save.
Your bookmark will now show on the bar. You can add more bookmarks as required in the same way.
