Sorry about the messy room 😔
It'll take a few months of following a regular stretching routine to achieve full splits, depending on how flexible you are.
REMEMBER: If something starts to hurt, STOP. Only you know your limitations.
First off, we're going to completely stretch out our legs. Start off with a pike, and touch your toes. Get your face as close to your knees as possible.
As flat as possible!
Next, sit in a straddle position. (Legs as wide as you can get 'em). Then, go as flat as possible. Like the pike, face as close to the ground as possible.
Sit back up from your "pancake" straddle, and lean as far to one side as you can. Try and get your ear as close to your knee as possible. Do this on both sides.
Next, take one leg and hold it up to your chest or as close to your chest as you can. Do this on both legs.
If you're already flexible, you can put your foot behind your head to increase the stretch. 😁 But please don't attempt this if you can't hold your leg to your chest without pain.
There you have it! Do these stretches every day, and you'll have your splits in no time. You can add your own stretches as well. I've almost got my full middle splits as well, as you can see.
Thanks for reading! I developed this routine after some trial and error, and this works best for me. Feel free to tweak it to your needs!
